Saw that, a shame he isn't a forward. There are still quite a few forward grad transfers floating around, be nice if we could land one.

We desperately need a big with some experience. Not only would it give us more depth, but have a leader who could help our younger bigs figure out play good defense without fouling. Unfortunately, Dartye was not a great leader in that area.

A 4 guard line up did run thru the CAA this past season. Plus didn't a 4 guard line up team from Philly make the Sweet 16 2 years ago? If you need talent, you take it no matter what position he plays and then go from there.

    MetSox,

Give me a break. I have alot of respect for you but that comment was just plain ignorant. UD men's hoops team is in fine academic standing. They're not all future scholars and aren't perfect but they are good kids. I doubt every kid that plays for Drexel is a great student. But you have certainly had more felons on your team in the past than we have ever had.

Keep believing what your trying to sell, I'm just not buying. I really can't believe that you're that naive.

i really don't understand what you expect… i know that timer seems to like you - but most of the rest of us don't really want to listen to the opinion of a Delaware fan.. although - if I had to vote for 3 people to disappear from the Drexel forum, you wouldn't be on that list because I find you infinitely less offensive than some of our fans.

Since you made this statement, I can only assume that you've seen him play for the Iranian National Team on numerous occasions to establish his floor. What are his strengths and weaknesses that he will bring, or need to focus on, to help the team succeed next year?

I seen this magical website called "YouTube" he didn't look bad.
He did get recruited to UCLA even if he didn't play he must have had potential to go there.
I liked Goran a lot even when most didn't and I didn't say it as an insult.
Goran was a tall body who took up space when called on which I think this guy will have a similar role.
He won't start but off the bench he could be good and will have an opportunity to play while at ucla it's hard to get minutes. This guy sounds like he has a strong thick body and is tall.
I have faith in him and it's only for one year. Also there was rumors that one of the freshmen were going to be redshirted. Bringing in an older guy may allow this to happen.

Okay. How much of that video looked anything like the offense we run here? How often are our big guys set up to shoot from three? That video is from three years ago now and at the JUCO level, he's played four games in two years against Division 1 competition. He's a lottery ticket. You have no way of knowing what his floor or ceiling is, so to just arbitrarily say that he will be "at worse as good as Goran" is bordering on hyperbole.

He seems to have decent footwork, has some range and with his size, he should be able to set a mean screen if the offense doesn't allow him to showcase the first two skills. I do agree that it could afford them the opportunity to redshirt Myles if they feel that's the best course of action. At any rate, I hope he, Rodney and Mohamed cause a lot of discomfort for the opposition next year.

That's what they said about (the infamous) Sam Harris at ODU. Hopefully you're right, and he feels like coming out here and (at least) playing hard when needed.

I know it is a stretch of a comparison but Jerrelle Benimon season stats at Gtown- 10min 1.3 Points 1.8 Rebounds. At Towson 18.7 points 11.2 Rebounds 36 mins.

I know they are two different players but maybe PAC-12/including his own team just over shaddowed him.
I remember early this Drexel brought in the brother of a tall Greek player who can shoot. Hey MCcoy gave me nitemares/heart attacks trying to shoot atleast from this video this guy can actually shoot if stuck. I am more than happy to see this guy try then seeing the same annoying play. Also did you see the first line of the video? He is great on the line how badly do we need that! Hyperbol or not 6-10 is a nice commodity to try atleast he will probably get mins unlike Lane and few other bench transfers/sitters.
