Agreed. It remains to be seen if we land some of these kids, but Keatts is taking big cuts. Upgrading the talent the way he is trying to is something to get excited about. Top 50 recruit from the class of '12, with two years remaining, all Big-12 academics...sounds like an impact player that can carry a CAA team.

    I'm assuming he'll be eligible in '15.

Have to love a guy who recruits fearlessly. I can't recall UNCW being mentioned with such quality schools as having offered. If he somehow can pull this level of recruit, it won't take long for us to be relevant again.

    True. Blizzard led to Goldsberry/Wyrick/Carter.

I did not see anything that said Purdue was recruiting him at all.It said that Purdue was taking a look and that is not recruiting.Belmont and Northern Kentucky are recruiting him with a offer or so it says. These articles are a dime a dozen. He might be a great player-who knows.

I don't get you guys at all. They either are recruiting the player or they are not. It says zero about any real recruiting moves by Purdue but because he mentions they have looked at him he is now being recruited heavily?

    Here you go Mullet. http://247sports.com/Player/Ryan-Cline-34075

Recruited by both assistant Jack Owens and Head coach Matt Painter. Also they have gave him a scholarship offer.

Another day another name...Juan Munoz PG class of 2016. Coach definitely doing work on the recruiting trail. I've got a good feeling about his ability to recruit. It won't be too long before he has some really good players on his roster.

Stillman is a good shooter-not great but that's not his thing. He is a better shooter than anybody on the UNCW team but that is saying very little.

The latest kid from Fayetteville, "ZO", can get up and plays above the rim. Another day another name. Keattes is all over the situation. This is like night and day. It will be interesting to see who signs.

As far as shooting goes, the kid from Jacksonville, Fla is obviously very good, but has to sit out a year. My gut tells me that our coach is making our wings get up a bunch of shots in the off season. This coach appears to be the real deal.

I have seen him play and he is super quick, not much of a shooter but has good form and could get better.I think he is a rising jr ar Panther Creek.

    http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcspo...rds-isaiah-williams-jordan-capps-to-transfer/

Williams, a 6-foot-1 point guard, was a member of both the coaches’ and the media’s Southern Conference All-Freshman teams with the media also naming him their Freshman of the Year. The coaches chose UNCG guard Tevon Saddler for that particular individual honor.

Williams reached the 20-point mark in three games this past season, with the most recent effort being a 24-point outing in a loss at The Citadel in late-February. Williams reached double figures in scoring in 18 of the 30 games he played in, and his assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.6 ranked fourth in the SoCon.

Mitch Laue, the way it looks to me. And, that's not a bad thing-fundamental, can stick a mid J,and has a big motor and good build. Too bad someone will leave, if that's what happens. He could possibly pay his way for a year, never know? Doubtful that happens, but it could.
