Fouch's Grouches... (maybe)
and of course Tyler Hale's biggest fan
I guess with the switch to the new version of the boards I failed to update my picture. I guess now is as timely an occasion as any other to refresh it.
This was the first thing I thought of when I heard their fans starting to get on the Pack. Was funniest seeing it in person, but even in pictures it's still a classic!
It is also the reason at the end of the game for a brief moment we did the ucv chant
the kid who got shot at the bridge wore his dac pack shirt for his nbc 10 interview.
he's obviously a good man.
Coach Dillion giving a shout to the DP.
thought you guys would purciate this line from Jonathan Tannenwald's piece covering Jerome Allen's recent hire.
Yes, having a good team will help. But when you go to the other schools in the region, the basketball team is woven into the campus culture. I think especially about Drexel, whose student section is really well-organized, and of course St. Joe’s and Villanova.
YES!!!!!! Omg, this makes me sooooooooooo happy.
We had the first ever official DAC Pack elections a couple weeks ago and here are the results...
President - Anthony D'Angelo (class of 2012)
Vice Prez - Myself (class of 2011)
Treasurer - Joe Pisauro (class of 2013)
Marketing Director - Joe Finch (class of 2013)
Recruitment Director - Matt Morabito (class of 2013)
Director of Sh!t-talking - JSoJ (class of 20... whenever the hell he wants)
Dragons aren't real....but your arrests and first round exits are
Have to love the irony of that coming from a Towson fan...
Here's a number I'm sure everybody will be happy about...
Over 900 incoming freshmen signed up with the DAC Pack during the summer orientation period! We haven't even opened up signups to upperclassmen yet, so that number is sure to grow.
I'm predicting that the SJU game on December 1 will have way more students than the Penn game on ESPN a couple years ago. And the fact that the Penn game is on the Saturday before Thanksgiving instead of the Tuesday, that game should be HUGE for student turnout as well.
what would be even better is if we win so they'll come for more than just one game.
Had a DAC Pack general body meeting open to all students last night. A ton of freshmen showed up, even on such short notice and with a ton of other activities happening on a Wednesday night Week 1, and a bunch of others have emailed us saying they couldn't attend the meeting, but that they want to get involved beyond just being a fan in the stands.
Should be a great year!
Nice job Marshall...
i have to admire your enthusiasm. i hope you can keep it no matter what happens and that kids will follow your lead all season. the athletic department should consider themselves to be extremely lucky that they've had a constant line of enthusiastic people to keep the dac pack alive.
i've been whining about this program since march...but i still get excited every november too. no matter how bad things are...it's still the only major sport we have to cheer for...and it's still a lot of fun. it'd just be nice if our team would make it even easier to keep showing up to have a good time all winter.
Anyone know when single tickets go on sale, ie St Joe?
Looks like individual tix aren't available to non-season ticketholders until game day. Guess they are trying to limit the amount of Hawk fans that get tickets. But you can get SJU tix as part of a three-game pack -- interesting that the Atheletics Department grouped the SJU game with Niagara and Delaware. A very SJU-related trio of schools.
Thanks DP. It is depressing that we need incentives to bring people out to Sucks games.
Official DAC Pack newsletter... http://eepurl.com/bbPys
Website is currently going through a redesign. The shell is up now, but eventually it will look fantastic.
News about an official DAC Pack Alumni Association will be coming shortly
Latest DAC Pack newsletter update... This one solely about the trip to Boston. Hopefully the DAC Packers that post on hear are able to go!
Nice work putting that together Marshall. Hope we get a bunch of students for the trip!
Yeah, hopefully we get some more people up there. It's tough that it's right before finals week, (it's hard enough getting students to an on-campus game before exams) so it won't be some mind blowing turnout. But if we are able to get 5-10 undergrads going up on their own dime, I'd be happy. I know some of the recent grads are planning to go up as well. And we all know that 1 DAC Packer is the equivalent of roughly 7 students from any other school... :tongue_smilie:
Good job with that marshall...not sure though why I didnt get the email to begin with though as stated on the facebook page but you did great putting that together showing more than reasonable options for everybody
Thanks Dan. Yeah, like I said at the table yesterday, we completely revamped our email list so everybody needs to re-register.
Alums, I know I've been talking about it for a while now, but I will have info for you soon. (Been so busy, but I finally have time to finish that stuff up).
Also, for everybody's enjoyment...
It's never too early to start heckling Penn.
[Timer Offending post removed.......
Spam post. Timer, can you use the magic wand?
Why? Just because it's responding ot a post over a year old and the IP resolves to Hanoi, Viet Nam???
This Sunday at 1:00 in the Armory, we'll be holding the first ever DAC Pack 3v3 Charity Basketball Tournament. It's open to all Drexel students, faculty and staff (sorry alums, we would have had to pay an extra fee to open it up to everybody, thus defeating the purpose of raising money). Teams will be paired with current Drexel basketball players as "guest coaches" and there will be a slew of prizes for the winners!
Only $15 per team, and 100% of the money will go to Philabundance!
Just a reminder about the DAC Pack 3 on 3 tournament tomorrow for any undergrad/grad students, faculty, or staff on here that have time to participate.
