I'm accustomed to seeing a bunch at all the low end Bowl Games but can never remember seeing so many empty seats at all the New Years Day games as today.

Nebraska & Georgia was no surprise - rematch of last year's bowl game & both teams disappointed down the stretch - both teams starting QB's done for the season. But yea, I noticed it as well - the Texas A&M - Duke game & the Iowa-LSU & SCarolina-Wisky games. People are watching in good numbers on TV as the ratings are healthy but tickets are not.

Look for BIG changes in ticketing procedures real soon. There have been articles about how the bowls have been undercutting the schools by offering discounted tickets through social media like Groupon & the like while the schools are "on the hook" for selling a specified number of tickets @ face value.
