You absolutely dominated the line of scrimmage. Way to represent the A-10. Some random thoughts:

    1. Whoever laid the sod for that field needs to be fired.
    2. 98 for Montana is either completely stupid or needs to lay off the roids. I've never seen anyone punch a QB in the face at a crucial time in the game.
    3. Montana's coach bears a striking resemblance to Timothy McVeigh. Is it pure coincidence that the Unabomber also lived in Montana?
    4. Those three Montana chicks in cowboy hats and belly shirts were quite easy on the eyes.
    5. I can't wait to see the UD-JMU game next year.
    6. Fenner was awesome.
    7. Rascati is a gutsy little S.O.B.
    8. Thanks for shutting up W&M fans and Montana fans in the course of 7 days.
    9. The Big Sky is overrated.
    10. The A-10 is the by far the best conference in I-AA.

The only A10 team NOT knocked out by another A10 team in the playoffs was UNH... there is a reason for that. There was also a reason for all 3 A10 champions advancing as far as they possibly could in the playoffs.

I'm trying to make sure I get this right...
    Two of my teams:
Boston Red Sox win the World Series.
    JMU wins a national championship.

What the heck is going on? Whatever it is... I like it.
    GO DUKES!!!

Way to go JMU. Congratulations. You guys did what you said you would do, Dominate the line of scrimmage. I think even if moron 98 did not take a shot at your QB, you still would have won because of the dominance on the line.

Montana coaching staff.....what were you thinking with those field goal/fake attempts? If you want to win with a small defensive line you have to score TDs like the last three playoff games.

Two minor complaints, CALL HOLDING (your line was masters at it). That field was horable. The advantage of a quick defense rather than size was taken away.

JMU did an awesome job. Your going to miss that offensive line. Montana will be making a run at it again next year with most of the team back. It would be fun to get the tar kicked out of us again next year by JMU or maybe not.

I am proud of the effort both of these teams made this year.

Scads of yards up the gut could not be overcome by any earthly team . I''m afraId the Griz ran into a team of destiny.

Go Griz, but Dukes are tough !!!!.

You keep thinking that. I'm sure Maine, New Hampshire, and Hofstra fan agree with that lame statement. Nice to see a Hen jump on the JMU bandwagen.

Maine was a non-playoff team, nor was Hofstra...

Wow, you beat UNH...very impressive. Remember, when we actually WON our national title, we beat the TOP TEAMS of the Gateway, not two poor ones.

Go away. You are a putz. You are just trying to stir things up. Obviously the Griz and JMU are better than Del. Or they would be here, right?

    Say good night.

Who are you? Montana = Not nearly as good as JMU, W&M, or Delaware. Reality.

    We still can't believe this.

I think a Griz said in an earlier post that Montana would have to beat themselves, and they had some really mistimed penalties. There were times during the regular season where it looked as if JMU would beat ourselves. I though we were opportunistic tonight in taking advantage of Montana's inability to score in the red zone.

The officiating was really questionable on both sides but fortunately did not turn the game one way or the oher.

I thought the Griz put in a great effort. We just were not to be denied. When we were up 10-7 at half, I told my rommate that we had a "team of destiny" feel due to having dodged the bullet so many times.

Ochs is the real thing, and he's surrounded by something that looked like the greatest show on (really bad) turf.

The game was ultimately won by the Big Dawgs up front, they simply were too big and strong for the Montana defense. No shame in that, they wore down W&M and Furman consecutively. It's easier for a run-oriented line in the 4Q because they've been attacking for so long-- I thought the Griz o-line also was a bit worn down from pass protection.

The Griz would make a nasty-assed opponent in the A10. I for one am happy to see them in a different conference. We already have enough back-breaking rivalries.

Finally, props to the Griz coaching staff for yanking Mullan after that cheap shot, for getting in his grill, and for sitting him down. Sometimes it really is about learning the right lessons. Respect.
