UNCW may not have the horses right now, but I don't think we finish anywhere close to last. Kevin Keatts is the truth. And I say that with full knowledge that I backed Benny Moss and Buzz Peterson too.

The odds for a 15/16 seed look really good...

Despite loss of Rusthoven and Gailliard Tribe could be even tougher this year. Usual rule is team sags after big season as there is no continuity of talent and has awful season, but Tony Shaver has remarkable talent
coming back, including the incomparable Marcus Thornton and the super-soph to be, Omar "The Kentucky Long Rifle" Prewitt, three other starters, tow hot-shot redshirts, and six high-level recruits to supplement them.

This team will will a lot of games.

Isn't W&M the only team to never have gotten into the NCAA Tourny? i.e The cubs of college basketball?

Now that I know who our new coach is no way we finish worse than 5th. We have a good non conference schedule playing UConn, Miami and LSU. Hope we can pull off an upset in at least one of those. Will be pulling for all the CAA teams to win OOC.

I think 5th is probably about right for Drexel. Win some games in the OOC portion of the schedule, raise expectations going into the conference portion of the schedule, then fade under the weight of those expectations as the conference schedule winds down. That's about the script for just about every season I've followed...

NU got a verbal commitment from 6-11 Sajon Ford out of St. Pete.
He's the little brother of NU F Quincy Ford.

The two will play together in 2015-2016.

Sajon had offers from Auburn, Washington St. Butler, Xavier, Florida GC and UNCW.

FYI...UNCW was out of grants when he verballed. Sounds like a good pickup though.

I think Elon is going to have a rough first year in the conference. They lost way too much. C of C should be better than that, but the coaching circus down there surely will wear on them. I think NU is the most talented team, and Hofstra will be a tough out. Drexel will be middle of the pack, possibly just above Towson. I cant see Drexel challenging towards the top 4 this year.

NU, Hofstra, W&M, Delaware for the top 4 in that order

Bottom 4 would be: JMU, Towson, C of C, Elon

If it can't be Charleston, I hope this is the year William and Mary break through.

Sounds about right, the top is too close and the tournament will yield an upset somewhere. Both teams will have poor seeds in both tournaments.

My thoughts as well. I don't know that there is any team right now that can be considered an overwhelming favorite. I'd take the field in that situation over whoever happens to be in 1st at the end of the season.

I prefer these sort of seasons, when there is no overwhelming favorite, even if the winner of the CAA turns into a 15 seed. Can't wait for official 'Game On!'

Not sure who is left around here, but Alan Boston was kind enough to write a bit on each league team in the league for my blog that some of you may find interesting.

Not a terrible prediction. JMU exceeded expectations (mostly due to the loss of nation), delaware did better than most thought but not quite as good as I thought. UNCW obviously surprised everyone. Some of the discussion still holds true after the season now especially about taking the field, no favorites, likely 1 bid to each tournament etc.

We at NU appreciate the support!

Hope we can make some noise for the CAA.

Everything we are hearing and based on the conference titles are that we may be a 14 seed.

    Hope we play Maryland!
