Not a terrible start tonight for the league. All four losses were to BCS schools, although they all were beaten badly. CoC and Hofstra did some whooping of there own and it was nice to see Elon start out their CAA era with a comeback win.

Not the best start for the preseason first-teamers with Thorton, Green, and Lee combining to shoot 10-34 from the field with Nation relegated to picking splinters out of his behind.

Green had 14 points 5 boards and 9 assts with no turnovers. Not a big scoring game but he was not needed for scoring . At one point Hofstra led 88-48.

Hofstra should be the favorite in the league. NU and W&M will choke no doubt about that.

NU handles it's business against BU after falling down 11 early in the 2nd half. A 71-65 win for the huskies.

Huge game from Walker(23 pts career high). TJ williams with a close triple double(7 pts, 9rbs, 8 Asts). Ford comes back after his season long back injury and contributes 11 pts 4ast 3rbs.

    On to FSU.

    Charleston plays Gardner-Webb tonight.

Charleston I think goes to Puerto Rico right after that for Tip Off tournament. I think they play UConn first. Any other CAA teams in tournaments?

Congratulations. I'm a Florida State fan but not when they face a CAA team. The CAA went 3-0 yesterday. On Monday North Carolina State beat Hofstra 76-64. Hofstra won against the spread.

Charleston plays UConn and Drexel plays Miami of Florida. If anyone is going to pull the upset tonight, it will be Dragons. Miami is 9 1/2 favorite.

After St. Joe's lost by like 500 last night, that Drexel loss to them looks worse and worse.

Huge game for Hofstra tonight against Stony Brook, with Long Island bragging rights on the line. First time the two teams have played each other since 2008.

Classic game where both teams suck and the better coach won.

I checked out the Hofstra NC State game and was thinking about that spread EvanJ (even though I don't wager anymore-never did much). That was crazy. And it was cool to see the Huskies get it done against FSU. That's not quite as impressive now after how the Noles looked yesterday, but it's still a good win and a statement to the rest of the CAA.

In case anyone is interested, this is the shot that Dion Nesmith made with 1.6 seconds left to give Hofstra the win over Stony Brook. I've never heard the arena that loud before.

NU hammers Manhattan College 65 -51 to win the Springfield bracket of the HOF Tip-Off at the Mohegan Sun to go to 4-0 on the season.

NU was up 20 at the half and never saw the lead fall under 14.

NU has a BIG match up at UMass on Wednesday

Can Hofstra not blow 11 point leads with less than 4 minutes left against opponents in which a win would surely improve the stature of our conference?

    K thanks.

Delaware off to a nice 0-4 start. Hard to believe we went dancing last year and now looking at a single digit win season. Too bad as the conf as a whole is having a nice OOC season.

Not surprised. When you lose those starters due to graduation and one for multiple violations of team rules you're not going to have a good year.

From what I've seen from you're roster, I'm trying to see how good UD will be next year too.

Charleston didn't do so well against West VA. It sounds like the rest of the conference did nicely though.

Congrats to Hofstra! Charleston needs to get a W soon and get out of this spiral.

Thank you. As I posted on a Hofstra message board, Hofstra is 168th in the RPI and doesn't deserve any votes (and I'm a Hofstra fan). I wouldn't be surprised if that's the worst RPI for a team (if not any team than maybe for a mid-major team) that ever got AP Poll vote(s) more than a couple of games into a season. Warren Nolan's site has week by week RPIs starting with Week 5 of seasons. During the 32 weeks starting Week 5 of each season in Charles Jenkins's junior and senior seasons, Hofstra had a better RPI than they do now in 27 of those weeks but Hofstra didn't get an AP Poll votes in any of those weeks.

I wonder if any CAA team has ever won their first two CAA games by 26 or more points each before William & Mary this season.
