New Hampshire @ Toledo
Series: Toledo 3-0
Last Meeting: Nov 19, 1949 Toledo 48-14

New Hampshire coach Sean McDonnell will take his Wilcats football team to Toledo in a week 1 match-up.
Keys: It has been 62 years since New Hampshire and Toledo have met on the gridiron.
If you listen to Wildcats coach Sean McDonnell discuss his team’s opening opponent in Toledo you would think the two teams play annually.
“They are so very talented at the skilled positions, combined that with an experienced offensive line averaging over 300 lbs. and we will have our hands full.”
Gone is QB R.J. Toman, but the Wildcats have another veteran QB ready to step in. Senior QB Kevin Decker gets his first opportunity as a full time starter and he’ll have a veteran offensive line to provide plenty of support.
“Kevin is in his fourth year with the program and he never seems to get rattled. He’s very efficient and does what’s expected of him,” coach McDonnell said.
The Wildcats will need to produce turnovers to contain Toledo. Junior LB Matt Evans will lead a defensive unit that will be tested often by the speed of Toledo and their interchangeable QB’s.
Junior Austin Dantin is more of a running QB as he racked up 440 yards on the ground and scored 8 TDs in 2010. While sophomore Terrance Owens is more of a traditional drop-back QB.
Both QBs will see action for Toldeo and when they’re at the helm they will throw to All-American candidate junior WR Eric Page (99 rec. for 1,105 yds and 8 TDs in 2010).
Also returning is senior RB Aldonis Thomas (175 carries for 1133 yds and 8 TDs in 2010) who averaged an amazing 6.3 ypc last season.
Pregame Quote of Note: New Hampshire coach Sean McDonnell on Toledo’s offensive weapons – “What they do offensively will really test our young defense.”

Agreed, don't like the rule but...it's the rule. RT @NUHF ODU Should honor its contract. Simple.
MT @MarkRSelig: AD Jeff Bourne said #JMU won't vote to overturn rule against allowing lame ducks (#ODU) to compete in CAA tourney. #caahoops
