Jawan Carter’s 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Delaware a 64-62 victory over Georgia State on Saturday.Carter’s shot extended the Blue Hens’ winning streak to three games. Devon Saddler led Delaware (10-8, 5-3 Colonial Athletic Association) with 17 points.
“Our guys just keep gutting it out,” Delaware coach Monte Ross said. “We weren’t great today but we were tough, and I’m really proud of the guys. We played great first-shot defense, but we just couldn’t get the rebound a few times.
“Jawan has taken that shot so many times after hours at the Carpenter Center, and it really paid off for him today.”
